The Good Wife's Guide of 1955...

I got this in an e-mail today from my mother today. After I stopped laughing and got up off the floor I though that I would share it with you and get your thoughts on it.

this article has many things that are quite helpful for a modern 1955 woman like...

*Have dinner ready,Plan ahead, even the night before to have a wonderful dinner hot a ready for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking of him and have been wanting all day for his homecoming.

*Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make up, put a ribbon in your hair, look your best. He has just a hard a hard day at work.

*Clean up the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before he arrives.

*Gather up schoolbooks, toys, papers etc. then run a dust cloth over the table.

*Over the cooler months you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.

*Prepare the children. take a few minutes to wash the children hands and face. comb their hair and if necessary change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them to play the part.

*Be happy to see them.

*Greet him with a warm smile and show your desire to please him.

*Arrange his pillows and offer to take off his shoes.

*Do not ask him questions about his actions. Remember he is the master of the house and you have no right to question him.

*A good wife always knows her place.

This article was printed in Housekeeping Monthly on May 13, 1955. Its is amazing how this could have been something that a woman might have read 50 years ago to see how to act in life.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

Love is all that i can give to you - A Photo Blog

...
So my dear friends Genevieve and Mike just got married about two weeks ago and I thought that I wound share with you how nice the wedding was.

(Here is the happy couple at the dinner after the wedding)

(This in during the wedding. Genevieve looked so beautiful.)

(And here they are just before walking down and giving their mothers both roses)

All in all it was a lovely. It was at a church in New Town. Adam and I did almost get lost on the way there. Its like some old movie set or something.

Anywho...after the wedding Adam and I plus Kristen, Bethany and Steph all headed to the hotel and got a few drinks before dinner. That was great to get to talk with them and for them to meet Adam. I think that he thought is was funny that we were all "talking with are hands". Ha! At the end of the night Bethany came up to me and hugged me and and then turned to Adam and said "Girl you better keep this one. I like him". It was too funny.

After the wedding was all over and we were on are way home we were talking about how nice the wedding was and all that when he said "Thats how I want our wedding to be"...ummm k.

But I guess that will have to be a blog for another day...

Journeys End In Lovers Meeting...

...

....

....

...
I've found almost everything ever written about love to be true. Shakespeare said "Journeys end in lovers meeting." What an extraordinary thought. Personally, I have not experienced anything remotely close to that untill now. Now I am more than willing to believe Shakespeare had. I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should. I am constantly amazed by its sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said "love is blind". Now that is something I know to be true. For some quite inexplicably, love fades; for others love is simply lost. But then of course love can also be found, even if just for the night.

I am one of the lucky ones who happened to be blessed by the fates. I was given someone that I never thought that I would have. I thought I would forever have to look from a far and that would be it. But somehow that fates were kind and made him feel the same.

I guess Mr. Billy Shakespeare had it right.

If you put your conditioned intellect to rest for a long time, suddenly it will be like the bottom fallin out of a bucket -- then you will naturally be happy and at peace.- Yaunwu

A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes....

....

....

....

...

A dream is a wish your heart makes,
When you're fast asleep,
In dreams you will lose your heart ache,
and whatever you wish for you keep.
...
I dreamed of something wounderful and when I woke the next morning I found that my wish had come ture. I am so happy right now. I keep thinking that is can not be real. Well, if it isn't real and I am only dreaming I hope that I never wake up form this peaceful sleep.
...
No matter how your heart is griving,
If you keep on believing,
The dream that you wish will come true.
